How to use your drill for cleaning projects!

When I asked for my drill for Christmas a few years ago, I never realized I could use it for more than repairs!

This week’s Summer Series Project, I’m showing you how I used my drill and my Drillbrushes for cleaning projects around my house.

Drillbrush is a line of non-scratch nylon scrubbing brushes the fits into a cordless drill. The rotation of the drill allows the brush to scrub surfaces efficiently, leaving a clean surface without causing hand fatigue.

For my summer series project, I decided to tackle cleaning my stainless steel and scrubbing the inside of my oven. Since I didn’t get many “before” photos of my sink, I’m going to show you the progress made on my oven door.

Here’s the inside of our oven door- yucky!

I sprayed some oven cleaner on the inside of the door, attached my Drillbrush to my drill and started working!

Here is the Drillbrush in action!

I used my Drillbrush for roughy 5 minutes (maybe closer to 7 minutes), but look at these results!!

Here’s the before and after comparison.

How do you clean your Drillbrush brush or pad?

Once you have completed your cleaning project, the cleanup process is very simple!

Either rinse the brushes/pads with hot water and allow them to dry:

Or load them into the dishwasher!

I love the dishwasher option since I can easily load them and they come out dry once the dishwasher finishes it’s cycle.

Drillbrush has a brush for every application and some bristles have multiple cleaning functions.

Tips and Tricks for using your brushes

(see below):

To increase the longevity of your brush, periodically switch between forward and reverse on your drill. This will keep your bristles working more effectively.

To minimize the product splashing, consider using a thicker cleaning product vs. a liquid one.

Brushes are more durable than pads. Pads are better for polishing and smooth surface cleaning tasks.

Drillbrush attachments will fit unto the end of most commercial drills (mine is a few years old and I didn’t have any issues). Drillbrush sells attachments if you are still considered your drill will not accommodate your Drillbrush.

Hi there! I’m Jeanyne and welcome to my little space away from home/work! Whether you are just browsing or looking to connect, I’m glad you stopped by. Looking forward to knowing you better.
