As long as I can remember, we have been using Nuby products! As a busy mom, I appreciate the durability of the products. Their feeding products are mostly dishwasher and microwave safe. Even after using them in the dishwasher, they still hold up well. We have given these products as gifts to friends and family in the past and haven’t heard any complaints! Knowing that a product will stand the test of time; that’s a win for us!
We started with a few silicone tethers then slowly graduated to feeding utensils. Emma LOVED the banana tether (not pictured). Whenever she was fussing, we gave her the tether and it usually calmed her down.
Our favorite products are the suction mats. These are great for high-chairs and at the dinner table since they suction AND STAY! I really like that most of the suction plates are sectioned which makes it nice for feeding and keeping food separate. I’m a mom that likes to see how much food her little ones have eaten so it works for me to keep the food separated. Also, as Emma got older, she didn’t want her own food touching so these plates are ones that you can graduate with your child as they grow older.
We are also in love with the Nuby cups. They have a range of products starting at 4 months until 18 months+. The sippy cups were extremely easy to disassemble, clean and depending on the type of cup- leak proof! Some have handles and some have straws. It depends on the development of your child, but there is definitely a product for you!
We did use a couple of feeding spoons/utensils here and there. When Emma was under one, we preferred to use the ones that were silicone and flexible because she could get them into her mouth easier than the ones that were more form-fitting. I liked that the spoons came in packs of 2 or 3 in the event that I lost one, I had others. I also liked how easily Emma could hold them in her hand to use. The spoon handles were nice and thick so she could wrap her hand around them and practice feeding herself.
As Emma got bigger (18 months+), we graduated to cups with straws and bibs. Some of the cups (with straws) are more likely to leak in-between the cup and the insert where the straw goes, so don’t be surprised if you give it to your little one in the car and you turn around and they are wet.
Another favorite of ours is the pocket bib! It’s accurate to say that we have tossed out all our other bibs and ONLY use these. The pocket works so nicely to catch any and all food that falls- and not only food, but liquids as well. My favorite part is clean up! I toss our bib directly into the dishwasher with the rest of the dishes and the dishwasher cleans and dries them just fine!
