Over the second weekend in September, we celebrated Emma’s 2nd birthday party. Since two of her older cousins also have September birthday, we were able to combine all three birthdays for one big celebration! We also want to thank our sponsors- Replay Recycle!
Emma has two older cousins that also have September birthdays! Luckily, my sister in law was so gracious to let us combine birthdays with her kids so we did! We had a cactus theme (which explains the pink and green) featuring fajitas, chips, salsa and guacamole as menu options and the weather was beautiful for an outdoor event.
Since our families are currently two hours away from one another, we decided to have the party where my sister in law is located since she lives around our other family and friends. My husband, daughter and I drove down the day of the event (I know that would probably stress some out), then setup at my sisters in laws house! I actually packed and prepped during the week so the only thing we needed to complete were setting food out and last minute decorations.
Luckily for me, my sister in law is an party planning extraordinaire and had everything organized and laid out! We quickly set up food, gift tables and waited for our guest to come!
Emma was showered with fun gifts that she still plays with daily. I have been blessed with great friends who are so creative! Look at this wrapping from my friend Alex (@prayplaypaint). It was too rememberable not to photograph.
I would say that the party went exactly as expected. We had a fun time with friends and family and we even captured a few fun images of the birthday girl with her friends!
