In summer 2018, we visited the Aha! Children’s Museum in Lancaster, OH. From Columbus it was about a 30-45 minute drive. To my surprise, the museum was very affordable for a family of 3: $8/person. Memberships are available for this museum as well.
Emma mostly enjoyed her time in the pretend food area. There she gathered ingredients to make a recipe and even made a pretend pizza!
Then came the medical area where Emma could dress up as a doctor. We called her Dr. Honey Bear as she examined the babies telling us their exact diagnosis.
We did a little bit of fishing by hooking the hook into the mouth of the fish and pulling them up. Afterwards, we went behind the fishing station to play in the water center (not pictured). Although we didn’t get too wet, it would be a good idea to bring a change of clothes to you can have as much fun as possible without worrying about staying dry.
We ended our trip in the careers/profession exhibit. There was an area for construction, big blue blocks , honeycomb climber, bulldozer, crane, and many more. If you saw my Instagram stories, Emma had a blast in the theatre section, singing into the microphone. We spent the most time at the fire truck because you could dress up as a firefighter, sit in a mini truck and push buttons to hear the sound of the sirens.
All in all, it was a fun day at the Children’s Museum.
