We welcomed our newest addition at the end of July. Knowing that she was coming, I had been searching for a “stroller” or trailer for our outdoor activities for all four seasons. After having my first child, I primarily used our Bob single stroller for all stroller activities; however, we wanted to get a bike trailer that was also able to grow with us.
We decided on ehe Thule Chariot Lite 2. The Thule is a sleek and slim stroller with many different attachments to fit into any family’s active lifestyle.
The stroller converts into a stroller, bike trailer, jogger (sold separately) and cross-country skiing set (sold separately) making it a great option for different lifestyle activities in all seasons.
A few features we really enjoy about our Thule Chariot:
- 100lb capacity
- 5 point safety harness
- Accommodates 1 or 2 children (depending on your model)
- Large cargo space behind stroller
- Easy to fold making the chariot an easy trailer
- Many other accessories
Since our newborn is too young to sit inside the stroller independently like our 3yr old, we decided to get the Infant Sling available for infants 1-10 months old (and less than 22lbs). At first, I was a little nervous to put my newborn baby inside the infant sling especially because of her lack of neck control. However, I was very impressed with the Infant Sling. The sling is a hammock-like design that reclines at a comfortable position and the soft lining supports the head and neck even on runs! Our newborn rests comfortably and can sit high enough to be able to see out the front of our chariot.
As soon as we saw how the Infant Sling fit inside the chariot, we thought the girls wouldn’t have enough space. However, the girls are positioned comfortably (with plenty of space). There is plenty of leg space for my 3yr old. She usually takes plenty of toys with her on our trips and even with plenty of “stuffies,” both of my kids have plenty of space.
