Running in a New Direction (a post from the heart)...

A couple years ago, we moved to a fun and new city! Columbus was filled with excitement, adventures, opportunities and lot of new faces; however, exploration felt difficult alone with a child. Fast forward a few months, my loneliness began taking the best of me. I’m originally from a big city, so city life isn’t new to me. What was new was the busyness of everyone else- play dates were constantly rescheduled, girls nights canceled, sick babysitters with little time to schedule a replacement. I was nervous to explore this new city alone and consequently, stayed behind within my four walls. We had family visits, but the lack of close community (and desire to have one) started to lead me into a sad place. With a busy husband, I desired connection for myself and my little one, but slowly my networking opportunities were starting to shut off and sadly, I was too.

After some intense, emotional conversations, I realized some changes were needed and community! This re-branding is for busy families looking to create timeless moments operating within a limited schedule. Those include:

Parent with a busy/working spouse
Individuals with limited close family connections in the area
Families looking for some fun places to meet other parents
Busy families looking for quick exploration ideas in your limited time
Single parent looking for some fun and fresh adventures

This site will also attempt to answer your questions that might prevent you from exploration with a child: Is the restaurant kid friendly? Will I need a stroller/place to park the stroller? Are family bathrooms an option? Can we bring our own snacks? What are the best times to go to avoid the crowds?

Self-care is important too! I’m looking forward to sharing tips, advice and companies that are branded to help those living in a busy household.

So let’s take some pressure off our spouse, give them space to work/study, and let’s go out and have fun some fun with our kiddos creating timeless moments!

Not a problem! We are expanding our reach to cities outside of Columbus. Additionally, we will also post non-city specific content.

The blog will work to capture seasonal activities; however, if there is anything you are interested in, please let me know and we will check it out!
